Due to the holiday, I was busy most of the day. Here is a quick recap of today's events:
WWE Raw was a solid show. Kane and Daniel Bryan had some more funny anger management segments. When they got back to the arena, the WWE Universe voted for them to "hug it out." They did so...before having an all-out brawl.
The ending segment will be what everyone is talking about tomorrow. CM Punk kicked John Cena in the back of his head, causing Alberto Del Rio to pin him backstage in their Falls Count Anywhere match. Punk got into the passenger's seat of a car and as it drove away, you saw PAUL HEYMAN driving!
Wow...
As for TNA, their problems continue.
Former talent Matt Morgan spoke out on Twitter about standing up to management and teased a jump to WWE. Devon, current TV Champion, posted on picture of himself wearing a WWE Raw t-shirt. His contract just expired. Yes, as he was a champion...
Scorpio Sky made mention of TNA low-balling him a recent offer, thus why he is appearing for WWE as "Harold." There has been a lot of "money" issues going on backstage it seems...
Plus, the Wrestling Observer is reporting that TNA may just get rid of the TV Championship. Their motto went from "defend it every week" to "Let Devon leave the company holding it" to "Get rid of the whole idea." Only in TNA folks...
As for the sports stories of Labor Day, there was not much of note. The NFL referees are still not back with the league. Tiger Woods is not winning...but still getting rich. Plus. we are only HOURS away from the Dallas Cowboys vs. New York Giants on Wednesday to kick off the new football season!
